Divine Bhandaras – Serving with Devotion

Through divine Bhandaras, Parmarth Triveni Pushp promotes the sacred practice of Annadanam — serving food with humility, devotion, and love for all.

From its very beginning, Parmarth Niketan has remained deeply committed to serving humanity and caring for those in need. Providing food, shelter, and support to people is considered an important part of spiritual practice at the ashram. As a result, bhandaras — sacred community meals offered with devotion — are a regular and meaningful tradition.

Every day, the ashram lovingly serves meals to hundreds of people, including rishikumars, brahmacharis, sadhus, pilgrims, and individuals in need. These meals are prepared and offered in a spirit of seva (selfless service), reflecting the belief that feeding others is a sacred act and a way of expressing gratitude to the Divine.

Often, devotees who perform special pujas, spiritual ceremonies, or celebrate auspicious occasions choose to organize a bhandara as an offering of charity and compassion. During such times, large community meals are arranged either in the main hall of the ashram or along the holy Ganga ghat, where hundreds of people are served with love and respect.

Bhandaras at Parmarth Niketan are not only about providing food; they symbolize sharing, unity, and kindness. They remind everyone that true spirituality is expressed through caring for others and serving humanity with humility and devotion.
