Parmarth Gurukul – Empowering Young Minds Through Vedic Wisdom
In India today, thousands of children from impoverished backgrounds struggle due to difficult life circumstances. Some are orphaned, some are partially orphaned, and others come from families unable to provide basic necessities. Beyond food and shelter, these children require education, guidance, and nurturing to help them grow into confident, responsible members of society. They also need strong moral values, ethics, and spiritual grounding to become torchbearers of Indian culture.
Parmarth Gurukul provides nearly 200 underprivileged and disadvantaged boys with holistic care and education. Along with a full academic curriculum, students receive intensive training in Sanskrit, ancient Vedic texts, and traditional knowledge. Their daily routine includes yoga, meditation, Vedic chanting, scriptural studies, mathematics, seva (selfless service), and special programs designed to cultivate character, discipline, and inner growth.
From the moment the boys arrive, their identity transforms — from being labeled as “orphan” or “poor” to becoming “Rishikumar.” This shift brings renewed dignity, confidence, and hope. Expressions of despair turn into optimism, and a sense of purpose replaces feelings of helplessness, empowering them to carry forward the values of honesty, integrity, purity, dedication, and selflessness.
